"Cauldron Teas & Brews"
All of our Herbal Brews have been formulated whilst keeping in mind the Naturopathic principle of "vis medicatrix naturae" - The Healing Power of Nature. Herbal infusions can be used to stimulate and enhance the body's own healing powers or 'vital force'. In formulating our range of Herbal Brews and Teas I have taken into consideration both the therapeutic properties as well as their energetic qualities, culminating in our truly Holistic range of Teas & Brews.
Each Brew has been packed and/or blended by hand by me a qualified Naturopath and Herbalist. I create each Brew in small batches to ensure the integrity of each herb remains intact.
All or our Teas & Brews are in loose leaf form form (no nasty bleached tea bags here) so you can see exactly what is in each brew and where possible I try and use only certified organic and wild-crafted herbs. As well as the health benefits of Tea, the whole process of making a pot or even a cup of tea can be quite therapeutic. The ritual of brewing Tea, forces us to slow down, even just a little, to sit back and relax whilst the Tea is brewing or the herbs infusing. Take time to sit back and inhale the aromas, pay attention to how the herbs & flowers dance around in the cup. Then slowly sip and savour the Brew. By slowing down, even for just a little will do wonders for you and can help enhance wellbeing for your body, mind and spirit.
Basic Brewing Instructions:
1. Bring water to the boil then let sit. (Some teas, the Green Tea varieties in particular, require water at about 80 degrees, but don't fuss too much let the water sit for a while before brewing).
2. Add approx 1 teaspoon of tea per person per pot. Or if making just one cup you can fill a tea infuser and place that in your cup.
3. Add the water and let steep for 2 to 3 minutes on average. Green teas tend to do better with less brewing time.
4. Herbal teas may be sweetened with honey or sugar if desired - but please taste before adding any.
5. "To milk" or "Not to milk", that is the question. This is a matter of personal preference, generally herbal teas do better without milk; and as a general rule, Teas with a Black Tea base including Chai, do well with milk.
6. Sit back, relax and enjoy, and remember to,"Take time ... to take tea".
