Slavic Myths
With a new introduction, this collection of Slavic tales is based on the oral storytelling traditions of the peoples of Eastern Europe, from the Polish, Slovaks and Czechs to the Macedonians, Croats and Serbians, with roots in Pagan folklore. Here we see how folkloric stories have evolved from ritual, through myth, to folktale, with lively characters who personify more ancient god, goddesses and mythical creatures, and reveal underlying moral lessons.
